Ozzy Osbourne:
"I'm Honored to Be Nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame"
Following his nomination for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, OZZY OSBOURNE has taken to social media to share his reaction:
"I'm deeply honored to have received this news from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I never would have thought that I would be one of the musicians nominated to enter a second time, now as a solo artist. After 44 years of a solo career, the fact that I'm still able to record new music and receive recognition is something that makes me very proud."
This is the first time that OZZY OSBOURNE has been nominated as a solo artist. He was previously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 as a member of BLACK SABBATH.
The 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees also include FOREIGNER, JANE'S ADDICTION, OASIS, PETER FRAMPTON, LENNY KRAVITZ, MARIAH CAREY, SINEAD O'CONNOR, CHER, SADE, MARY J. BLIGE, A TRIBE CALLED QUEST, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, ERIC B. & RAKIM, and KOOL & THE GANG.
Public voting is open now until April 26 at this link. Only the five bands/artists with the most public votes will be given a score that will be added to the jury's score.
The winners will be announced in May, and the induction ceremony will take place in Cleveland in the fall of 2024.
